Ben Mowat is a professional musician with many years of experience over many genres and specialises in create the perfect set list for your event! With a passion for great music that fits the brief, Ben has a background in classical, pop and film/TV/Bollywood music covers, jazz, celtic folk, tango, klezmer and Eastern European folk music. As well as a more standard wedding repertoire, Ben can also bring his work in experimental and electronic music into his performance, if desired. He is a loop pedal performer, and can improvise beautiful layers of violin and synths with beatboxing to create atmospheric and at times party dance music! 

As well as solo performances, Ben also works with a select range of professional musicians, so if it's an ensemble you'd like whether it's beautiful violin and harp/piano, a jazz duo or trio, string quartet or even a Celidh band or rock/pop ensemble, Ben is a professional musical director and can organise this for you. ​​​​​

Based in Bath with over 30 years of experience, I can accompany your ceremony, drinks reception, or wedding breakfast in a range of styles — Jazz, Contemporary, Blues, and even Boogie Woogie. I can also create custom piano arrangements of your favourite songs.

For a unique wedding entrance or exit, I can play live piano arrangements with smooth transitions for the bridal party and bride. I also work with professional female singers to perform your special song live.
